Hello! 

I've been painting murals for over 28 years. Just seeing that in writing makes me feel old! But it means that I come with decades of experience on what makes a good mural (and what doesn't). The very first mural I ever painted was for my sister while she was pregnant with my nephew, Nick. I remember that it was a Winnie the Pooh themed piece of art and it kicked off a whole lot of requests from friends and family members for murals of their own.

 

That first mural was an act and a gift of love from me to my sister and her soon-to-be-born son. That love and dedication while I paint is something that has never changed.

I won't paint for someone I haven't met or at least spoken to in detail ahead of time. Murals are big, bold expressions of their owners and in order to express that person in the best way, I want to get to know you a little. Before I paint a single stroke, we'll talk about what you're trying to accomplish with the space, what type of "feel" you want it to have and, of course, what colors and elements you want to see. I might be the painter, but it's YOU that I'm trying to represent.

17 Art rose out of me putting God and myself together. My lucky number is ten and, from my studies, I believe that God likes the number 7. When I paint, I paint for you, but I also paint for Him. I pray to him as I create and talk to Him just like a friend. Adding God and I together, I got 17 Art. By His grace, I have been given this talent and by his urging, I am bringing these gifts He gave me to people just like you!
